19+ Policy
Nova Scotia Casino accepts only players aged 19 or over. Age is verified before a first deposit is possible, and we close any account a minor has opened.
1. 19+ only
No one under 19 may register, deposit or play.
Players are accepted only in jurisdictions that legally permit it, and we meet Canadian rules on age, identity checks and anti-money laundering. Our games and promotions are for adults only. Giving false details to get around the age rule breaks our Terms of Service.
2. How we check age
Age is confirmed before your first deposit.
At registration, your name and date of birth are verified through reliable data sources, and your location is confirmed too. Result not clear? Government photo ID is required before you can deposit. We repeat these checks any time your details change or something seems wrong. See our Identity Checks page for the full detail.
3. Parental controls and filtering tools
A few minutes of setup can block gambling sites at home.
- Switch on the parental controls that come with your phone, tablet, games console or computer.
- Use content filters on your home router or internet plan to block gambling categories.
- Add filtering programs that stop access to gambling websites and apps.
- Set app store purchases to need a parent's approval.
Internet Matters gives parents free, step-by-step help with configuring these controls on everyday devices.
4. If a minor is found
The account is shut immediately.
Where we suspect, or can demonstrate, that someone under 19 is behind an account, it is frozen immediately and we ask for proof of age. If the holder turns out to be a minor, the account is closed, any winnings are voided and deposits are returned through the payment method first used. Marketing emails end right away, and we may block the associated details so they cannot be used to register again.
5. Shared devices and protecting minors
Adults play a key part in keeping young people away from gambling.
- Log out after every session.
- Disable saved passwords in your browser.
- Lock your device with a fingerprint, a PIN or a pattern.
- Create separate user profiles for each family member.
- Keep cards and payment app logins away from children.
Your account is yours alone. Letting anyone under 19 use it breaks our Terms of Service and leads to closure.
